“Are you coming back?” She spoke loud enough for the kids to hear.
Juan felt everyone’s eyes on him. He kept his gaze on the floor. “I have to make some money, and I’ll be back,” he said, knowing that he was lying.
“You’re not coming, back are you?” Rafella said. She felt like a fuming volcano inside, but she tamped down the fury and managed not to scream.
